Artist Jonathan Borofsky

Jonathan Borofsky currently has an exhibit on display at Frederick Meijer Gardens through May 10th. Here is a snapshot I took of Borofsky's Human Structures and the Light of Consciousness. Definitely worth a visit.

American sculptor and installation artist Jonathan Borofsky is widely admired for his public commissions across the globe. Recognized as among the most significant figurative artists of his generation, he frequently utilizes stylized descriptions of male and female figures to suggest the commonalities shared across humanity regardless of race, gender or creed.
Central to this exhibition is a large-scale, site specific installation utilizing several hundred colored lexan figures, light and sound. Also featured will be scale-models and preparatory work for Meijer Gardens own monumental sculpture, Male/Female. In addition, presentations of some of Borofsky’s major projects from around the world will be displayed in the galleries, including his recent project for the Beijing Olympics.
