Our First Turkey

We couldn't resist this turkey on sale at .58 a pound!! However, we have never cooked a turkey on our own. Overall, it was a good experience with no major mishaps. We used this recipe here:

rachel ray...a black friday inspiration

So, we braved the cold and the crowds for black friday...I am pleased to share with you one of our treasures. Behold...the Garbage Bowl! Tom being intrigued by Rachel Ray (who isn't? She's cute and can cook; Yummo!) and her Garbage Bowl idea, thought he might like to try it out. While Tom was test piloting the idea with a large bowl we already had, we ran across the Rachel Ray version at the store. I was not impressed by the color options. I like bold, funky colors and Rachel's Garbage Bowls just don't fit the bill. This is where zak! Designs comes in. They make some really neat stuff. We found a set of their recycled confetti bowls at Younkers...on sale...plus another $10 off for being a "door buster"!! Can't wait to get home and take these for a spin :)
